Pro adds remote access, smart safety recording, Sentry, Kim Map, Blind Spot, Kim AI Assistance, map casting to the instrument cluster (IC) with Kim Map, Google Maps, Waze, and Vietmap, plus live location, trip history, routes, and charts from the PWA. Pro requires Kim Launcher to be installed and paired with your PWA account using the Vehicle ID QR code.

Which BYD vehicles are supported by Kim Launcher?
Kim Launcher supports selected BYD models and DiLink systems. Compatibility can vary by vehicle model, DiLink version, firmware, and region. Check the Supported Vehicles section above for the current list.
Does Kim Launcher modify the original BYD system?
No. Kim Launcher is installed as an Android application and does not replace the original BYD firmware. You can continue using the original BYD interface and system features.
Can I return to the original BYD launcher?
Yes. You can switch back to the original BYD interface whenever you want. Installing Kim Launcher does not permanently replace the factory launcher.
Is Kim Launcher free?
Yes. The core launcher experience is available for free. Kim Launcher Pro unlocks additional features such as remote access, smart safety features, Kim Map, live location, trip history, routes, charts, and other Pro services.
What is included with Kim Launcher Pro?
Kim Launcher Pro adds connected and advanced features including PWA remote access, Live GPS, Trip History, Journey Replay, smart safety features, Kim Map, Blind Spot support on compatible vehicles, charts, and Pro updates. Availability can vary by vehicle and firmware.
How do I activate the 7-day Kim Pro trial?
Open app.kimlauncher.pro, create or sign in to your account, then pair your vehicle using the Vehicle ID QR code shown in Kim Launcher Settings. The head unit must be connected to the Internet during pairing.
Does Kim Launcher require an Internet connection?
Many launcher and vehicle functions work locally. Internet access is required for connected features such as Kim Pro activation, PWA remote access, Live GPS, cloud trip data, online map services, and update checks.
Can Google Maps, VietMap, or other navigation apps be displayed on the instrument cluster?
On supported vehicles and firmware, Kim Launcher can cast Kim Map and supported external navigation apps to the instrument cluster. External map casting is still being improved, and behavior can vary between navigation apps and BYD firmware versions.
Why does Kim Launcher need system permissions?
Some permissions are required to access supported vehicle information, show overlays, use camera-related features, and run selected services in the background. Only grant permissions for features you intend to use.
What should I do if a feature does not work on my vehicle?
First make sure you are using the latest Kim Launcher version and have granted the required permissions. If the problem continues, use Upload Logs in Settings > Advanced and contact the Kim Launcher community on Telegram so the issue can be analyzed.
Do I need to pair my vehicle again after reinstalling Kim Launcher?
Yes. If you uninstall Kim Launcher while Kim Pro is still active and then reinstall the app, pair the vehicle again using the Vehicle ID in Settings. Your active Pro access is not reset by reinstalling the APK, but the newly installed launcher needs to be re-paired with your account.
